THE 2008 CABIN FEVER CALENDAR
ANNOUNCING THE ARRIVAL OF FLIGHT 2008...
Our colleagues have passed the reins to relative rookies this year. In 2004, Ruth Fotheringham and her friends thought they were rookies when they came up with the idea of a calendar for 2005 in the vein of the highly successful Women's Institute Girls Calendar published in England in 2000. How wrong they were! Fun! Fabulous! 50ish! flew off the shelves! They continued their hard work in that same year to publish the exotic 2006 calendar, A Foreign Affair, followed by the 2007 calendar "Flights! Camera! Action!". Many of our colleagues and friends have fallen to cancer; many more have fought and won that battle. And yet, so many more continue the valiant fight; continue to strive to find ways to find a cure!
We are delighted to welcome you aboard as the curtain rises on the 2008 edition of the Cabin Fever calendar! “In the Wings” depicts the many roles that flight attendants play both on and off the aircraft. Long before you walk down the bridge to your flight, every aspect of you’re your on-board experience has been carefully scripted and reviewed, from safety briefings and service procedures to announcements and entertainment. You’ve seen us act as hostesses, public speakers, bartenders and therapists. There are also parts we have rehearsed behind the scene but hope never to play, like firefighters, paramedics and security personnel.

THANK YOU TO OUR SUPPORTERS
Over the past few years we have proudly added “fundraiser” to our repertoire. Since 2005, the Cabin fever cast of characters has donated more than $125,000 from the sale of calendars to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.
We need your help to write a new script. For you and for our very generous supporters, we have reserved seating in the front row. We are deeply grateful for your much-needed financial support. Thank you for being an angel and may all of your stories have happy endings.
We would also like to thank: Ruth Fotheringham, Lynn Jones, Caitlin Unterman and the Princess of Margaret Hospital Foundation, Bill Powell, Sue Welscheid, Jean-Pierre Nault,
Yan De Thieulloy, Jeff Waters and the entire staff at the Renaissance Hotel, Jay Glassman at the Toronto Marathon, Bobby Bharwani and Lisa Lio at Digital Propaganda, Daryl
Oliver, Dewith Frazer, Will Eason, Troy Ross, Mark Simmons and our CABIN FEVER Toronto marathon team.
And a very special thank you to everyone at our Air Canada family who have helped us so much...you know who you are!
In Loving Memory..
With the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation as our guide, Cabin Fever has raised over $125,000 towards cancer research and treatment.
There are at least two angels named Josee and Ylona, who watch over us as we continue in our efforts to defeat cancer.
To those friends, colleagues and companies who have given so much on so many levels to
CABIN FEVER, and in remembrance of those whose inspiration keeps us going.

2008 Dedications
- Kelly Donovan: Especially to Ylona and all the other women who are facing a tough time in their lives ;
- Susan Kowlessar: In honour of my Aunt Terry who succumbed to cancer in 2005. With joint efforts miracles can happen ;
- Christina Weaver: To all of the professional staff and volunteers at Princess Margaret Hospital who work so tirelessly in finding a cure for cancer and to all of those who have
fought their own battle against cancer including my Tia Gladys Abreu de Valentin who I sadly lost to this horrible disease…you are my inspiration ;
- Shantih Accardi: Ylona was the very special person who inspired me to dedicate my time to the calendar, she told me how much it helped her and made me understand how
important this cause is first hand... I miss her dearly ;
- Caroline Grenier: I have always wanted to volunteer and help out for a good cause for those who are in need! ;
- Loredana Mammone: My grandmother was given 3 months to live but her fight only lasted 2. My mother was diagnosed with cancer on my 29th birthday, only 2 weeks before
my wedding; thankfully she fought and beat it. I chose to get involved in this because I know too many people that have struggled valiantly against this awful disease ;
- Rita Gagliano: For all those living with cancer, for those who have loved ones who are suffering and in hope of finding a cure one day ;
- Connie Tesoro: As Flight Attendants we touch many people's lives each and every day. I wanted to take part in this calender to actually make a difference and fundraise for a
better tomorrow. My grandmother always taught me that giving was it's own reward ;
- Christine Dahdouh: To all the people who have been affected, in one way or another by cancer, for all their courage and determination ;
- Diala Canelo: I'm extremely proud of being part of this year's calendar. Year after year new research is available and this can only be done if we all find our own ways to help and
contribute. I'm doing it in honour of moms everywhere ;
- Donna Mills: To my mom who has been struggling with breast cancer for the past couple of years. We admire her strength and courage during her fight. So far she is winning
and we are proud to call her Mother and Grandmother ;
- Shirine Eltaher: In honour of my Grandmother and Uncle who bravely fought this disease and sadly did not win and to those that are currently fighting this disease and their
family members who stand by their side and support them. The proceeds from this calendar is one way we can help reach the global aspiration of eradicating cancer ;
- Daniela Meyer: I recently lost my grandmother in the fight. By joining this amazing project, I am putting in my grain of salt to end this disease for good. I strongly believe that anything
anyone can do to help can truly make a difference. United we are strong and provide some light at the end of the tunnel for all of those who may have lost hope ;
- Jennifer Parsons: My dedication is to Sheila Torres, a breast cancer survivor and close family friend who's outstanding efforts to fundraising is an inspiration ;
- Janet Harrison-Draper: My awareness to cancer heightened with the death of a dear friend and colleague, Sarah Cheung. Sarah and I started flying for Nordair Airlines, Class of
74 and when people reminisce about the old days, Sarah’s name generates smiles from everyone. Although Sarah left us on July 18 1999, her image remains etched in many hearts ;
- Monique LeFort: I participated in the project to help all those who have been affected by cancer, especially Jon Kenyon who continues to fight leukemia and his wife, my cousin, Michelle McTimoney who continues to stand strong by his side during the battle! You are both an inspiration and my heroes!!! ;
- Chantal Watier: Cancer is one of many realities in our world that affects us all, one way or another. Donating my time for this cause is one of many baby steps to making a
difference, I'm very fortunate to be part of this calendar. Thank you!!
