Cabin Fever Calendar
FLIGHT PLAN - History of the Cabin Fever Calendar
First and foremost, we are friends and colleagues.
For years we have had the pleasure of working alongside each other at 35,000 feet as flight attendants. But what unites us now even more strongly is a sad fact of life that we all have in common – far too many of our family members, friends and colleagues have been stricken with cancer. So when Ruth Fotheringham asked for our participation in a fundraising campaign to raise money for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, we all leapt at the opportunity to help out. After all, it is to the Princess Margaret Hospital that most of our loved ones turn when cancer strikes.
The concept of a calendar created in the same vein as the highly successful Women’s Institute Calendar Girls Calendar in England in 2000 was enthusiastically adopted. And why not? As seasoned flight attendants, we have derived enormous pleasure from our time spent together between passenger services in the galleys of various aircraft. For those of you who may on occasion have been roused from your nap on one of our flights by the sound of raucous laughter at the back of the aircraft as we shared our innermost joys and secrets, our apologies.
To all of you who are reading this, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your financial support to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. We wish you and your loved ones lifetimes of good health and lots of laughter.
On-line sales of the 2008 calendar will be available soon!
